The Division Launch Moves To Early 2016

4.8
Since the announcement of The Division’s first delay just over one year ago, publisher Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment have kept awfully quiet about the revised launch date for their open-world shooter.

Now, the company’s latest earnings report suggests The Division won’t see a 2015 release after all and will instead hit shelves sometime between the beginning of January and end of March of 2016.

The section of the report in question reads as follows:

As you can tell, the report puts The Division, along with another “unannounced title”, at a fiscal year 2016 fourth quarter launch, which translates to the first quarter of calendar year 2016. It release platforms still include PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Rainbow Six Siege, however, is still on track to launch before the end of this year, says Ubisoft.

The Division Community Development Lead Antoine Emond wrote a letter to fans on the game’s official website, further confirming its new launch date of early 2016:

Agents,

We have decided to release the game on Xbox One, PS4 and PC during the first quarter of calendar year 2016.

All of us at Massive, Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Annecy want to ensure the game not only meets our high expectations but also those of our fans and players alike. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and can’t wait to show you more next month at E3!

Thanks for your support,

The Dev Team

Did actually love the TC series

Though I've never really played a Tom Clancy game, this one looks much different than other ones I've seen. Looks really good.

Mickers Delay doesn't bother me if it fixes the gameplay and eliminates silly bugs. Be silly to ruin a game by rushing it.

I agree, might as well sort out the game best as possible before releasing it.

This game is going to be amazing, so if they delay it to make it even better, I am all for it.

To be honest, although it's disappointing to see the delay, I would rather they delay this than release a half-broken shitty game like the rest of what Ubisoft seems to push out these days.

All of the Tom Clancy's series are pretty good so I would hate to see them ruin it with this.

Ugh... Yet another game delayed!

What's the point in a release date nowadays?
