Xbox Founder Believes Xbox One Won’t Catch Up To PS4

4.5
The man that lead the development of the original Xbox, Ed Fries, weighed in on who he thinks is winning the current console war, and it’s not his old employer.

Ed Fries is the former vice president of game publishing for Microsoft. In the late 1990’s, he lead the team that developed the Xbox, and went on to play a key role in making studios like Bungie, Ensemble, and Rare develop games exclusively for the console.

Talking with the Puget Sound Business Journal, Fries laid out a very honest and blunt assessment of how he thinks the cards will fall during this console generation. “The two sides say nice things about each other; they compliment each other’s cool games,” he said. “It looks to me like most of the excitement is kind of over in the console war for this generation. It looks like Microsoft is gaining a little traction back, but PS4 got a really early lead that will be hard for Microsoft to catch.” When asked who he thinks will be in front at the end, he said “I think it’s PS4 by a nose.”

PS4 is a great console. The XBOX One seemed rushed & broken just so they had something to show to the Sony fans... Witch made it a disappointment

RIAA Xbox should bring back 1 vs 100, then we get to watch bus loads of people regret buying the wrong console and come back to Xbox just to play it!

Ache They're both great consoles.

It doesn't really matter when it comes down to it.. They're both making huge sales.

It doesn't truly matter, because both companies are making tons of money but it shows which console is truly better by the public..

GTXPlayer Ahh, people still talking about sales, when it makes little difference.

The Xbox is still months ahead as a console itself over PS4 and it will continue to be like that till the end of the generation.

if you are on about the technology behind the two systems then im afraid you are wrong as the the PS4 has better parts than the Xbox One ( im no console guy either im PC )
