Modern Warfare 2 Remaster petition reaches 130,000 signatures

Revolution? Innovation? Ambient cubemaps? New, transformative kinds of games burned onto our retinas from our new-generation consoles? Not so much... It turns out that’s not what everyone wants, if over 130,000 people are to believed. A petition is currently live on change.org for a remastered version of 2009’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The petition states that Modern Warfare 2 on last-gen consoles has been overrun with hackers and deserves a remaster to fix the problems. It’s looking for 150,000 signatures before sending a letter on to Activision.

With over 15,000 signatures gained since last night, it might not be too long before the petition reaches its goal. With all the recent remasters on PS4 and Xbox One, is something like Modern Warfare 2 prime material for a lick of paint? Or is this a franchise that should be looking forward instead of back? And why the hell isn't there a proper petition for the original (and far superior) Modern Warfare instead?

this game was fun becasue everyone has using noobtubes, run-knives, shields and a lot of senseless overpowered perks and items... the MP was shit.
I beg to get COD4 or CODWaW but i dont why people liked MW2 if this game was all about noobtubing.


MW2 was the most imbalanced cod thats why it was so damn fun! You can get kills doing anything! Noobtubing, knifing, quick scoping, ump45 and so on! It was just filled with guns to use and nothing really sucked.

It doesn't matter how many signatures the petition gets. If Activision do not believe they will make a large amount of profit from a remastered MW2, they will not remaster it.

This is good but very flawed same goes for COD4 & WaW. If we're being technical BO2 was by far the superior game as far as balancing and bugs goes

Lol I know right, the most balanced game in the series is GOD AWFUL. Typical mindless opinion. I agree that those 3 games are great, but are in no way the best. Maybe Cod Waw.
