Almost 50,000 fans want Modern Warfare 2 remade for PS4 and Xbox One

A growing petition is calling for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to be remade on PS4 and Xbox One.

The petition went live four days ago and has already gathered over 47,000 signatures from like-minded players.

Created by Ramez Zahra, the petition is targeted at Activision and Infinity Ward to remake the fan-favourite. If you want to add your voice, head on over and put you name down.

I think, a remake would be great, butttttttttt that would be contingent on them releasing like 16 new maps as well. I played all of the original maps and map pack maps quite a bit. I think it would be fun to play for a while, but would get stale without a whole new set of maps and maybe the addition of a few new guns and challenges as well.

Plus what would happen to our old stats, I was like a 9th prestige.

Also they'd have to include modes that had glitches and old weaponry. IE Javelin glitch, pre patched 1887's, care package glitch, care package speed increase with lightweight and marathon, and all the other quirky stuff that was fun and annoying.

If it's going to just be a straight port, then I hope they price it at like $30 and include the DLC if you owned it before.

I saw someone posted a topic on this the other day. I couldn't believe how many people signed the petition. I would love it if they brought MW2 to the Xbox One, I would definitely get it if they did make it.

Signed it, I would love to see this happen! Me and my buddies would play the shit outta this! I could care less about the new call of duties just remake MW2 and make it the same. Just add a better security system to it thats it! I would love to see Activision or Infinity Ward respond to this.

Until everyone plays it and regreets buying it like CoD:Ghosts.

Won't happen. As long as they keep the multiplayer the same and shit and hope to god they actually make a remake. It'll be a hit I'll buy it day one.

and then never play it once the quickscopers and RPGs come into play.
