Apple could introduce public iOS beta in coming months

4.4
Although Apple has been fairly guarded and secretive in the past, last year they offered a pubic beta of their latest operating system, OS X Yosemite. Now it looks like Apple might be expanding their beta program to iOS with the first public beta slated for March.

While developers have had access to beta versions of iOS for years, it looks like the general public could gain access to early builds of iOS in the coming months, with the first public beta of iOS potentially being released in March and made available via Apple's AppleSeed program. The beta release will coincide with the developer beta and should be iOS version 8.3.

Naturally, this will be an excellent way for Apple to iron out any bugs that may be present in any upcoming builds of iOS. Also the public beta distribution will become even more exciting when Apple starts seeding its next version of iOS, iOS 9. iOS 9 is expected to make an appearance sometime in Spring at Apple's annual WWDC.

-Skittle At least apple didn't skip 9 in their operating system lol

Lmao it seems MS doesn't know how to count...

I thought that was evident with the Xbox tbh. Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One. They definitely cocked that one up.

Why's there always so much hype about the new iOS? I see my friends iPhones every time and it looks no different, except for a few cosmetics. There's very rarely any amazing features, so why all the hype? I mean they're released more frequently than Windows OS and there's still more hype even though Windows is more popular?

It's just the size of the update that kills my phone everytime. Seems like I'm deleting every just for it. I don't understand.

It is nice to see new iOS being released but I still prefer iOS 7 the most.

If you are in the public beta be prepared to lose everything you might store in iCloud like last time.
