Treyarch is teasing something to do with Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 developer Treyarch is teasing some sort of announcement on Wednesday, and it has to do with zombies.

The developer took to Twitter to tease information of a live-stream that will take place this Wednesday, February 4.

As the hashtag reveals, this will be during the DICE summit, which takes place February 3-5. Teyarch was the first studio to bring Zombies mode into Call of Duty with World at War. Since then, it has been staple of Treyarch’s Call of Dut(ies), and most recently, Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare.

That being said, it would be pretty early for Activision or Treyarch to announce a new Call of Duty game, or even talk about one. Usually, that event is reserved for May. This could be a new spin-off series or just development talk about what the studio will bring with the next installment of Zombies.

At any case, you’ll be the first to know when we have any new information.

The D.I.C.E. summit (stands for Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) is an annual event where several game developers and executives host panels and discuss the production and business sides of the industry. Some publishing deals are known to start there.

In case anyone is wondering, the talk was about zombie development from W@W to BO2. Nothing new except to expect more zombies in the future. Still a very interesting talk, especially to future game devs / programmers out there about an rogue development situation that ended up breathing new life into a hundred-million dollar (at the time) franchise.

Yeah totally agree with you, I know zombies aint realistic but in the past zombies they've tried to make it as realistic as possible with the scenarios and in advanced warfare its just so fake.

I really hope they carry on with the same exact zombies from WaW and the Black Ops ones and don't change it a lot or ruin it because this is the best thing In any of the Call of Duty's.

Can't wait to see teasers ect should be good

Hopefully Treyarch goes back to the more original feel of Zombies, I enjoyed WaW and BO1 zombies a lot more than B02.

HOF I doubt they are going to make a game of just zombies however that would be cool.


If they made it just for zombies, that would be amazing have like modes. Campaign while your the zombie and others arent and its huge maps etc etc. Or just like if you get so far like round 35 you transfer to the other maps as instead of ending the game and picking a new one? eh
I think it's just an addon though.
