Microsoft Wins Emmy Award For Xbox One Technology & Engineering

4.4
When you hear (or read in this case) the word ‘Emmy’ what comes to mind? Most likely actors and actresses gushing over how realistically they portrayed a regular person, all the whilst being adored by regular people.

Well here’s something for you, the Emmy awards aren’t all about the faces that appear on our screen, but also the technical achievements and feats of engineering that continue to push the medium of television forward.

So it seems only fitting that a few days ago Microsoft was awarded an Emmy Award for their pioneering work in creating the Xbox One and the technology that makes it easy to gracefully go from playing to watching TV, movies and performing many more applications in the blink of an eye, something no other console currently offers at this present time.

So congratulations to the technical minds at Microsoft, despite the flaws in the system it still remains an attractive console and media device that is worthy of any living room.

I was baffled myself when they announced the ability to tell my xbox to turn itself off. They did a great job on the Xbox One, good for them.

Good for them. I could care less about tv integration or multimedia functionality. I'd be super happy if they could do 2 things. 1)Get rid of the Metro tile UI. 2)Speed up the UI. I was so hopeful that the new, more powerful systems would mean that bringing up friends lists, messages, notifications, etc. would be much more smooth and slick, but it's just as sluggish and slow-responding as the 360.

People buy this console just for everything besides the games. Good job Microsoft.

Lol mines white :) Then again... My little brother pouring chocolate milk on it kinda changed it's color xD (PS: The Xbox is safe, it wasn't plugged in during this terrible event, and I took the whole thing apart, and cleaned it completely, and allowed it all to dry, runs well :D)
