SimCity 2000 free on Origin

4.6
EA has made classic PC city-building game SimCity 2000 free for all Origin members.

The game is the latest offering in EA's On The House campaign, which regularly gifts free titles to players.

Released in 1994, SimCity 2000 is the sequel to Maxis' original SimCity, and is still widely thought of as one of the best games in the series.

In order to claim their free copy of SimCity 2000, EA asks that users set up an account with Origin, the publisher's digital games platform for PC and Mac, if they haven't done so already. Once downloaded, users can keep the free game forever.

Previous free games made available through the On The House programme have included Battlefield 3, Dragon Age Origins, Dead Space, Plants vs Zombies, Wing Commander 3 and Crusader: No Remorse.

I remember playing this game when I was a child back in 03 maybe this game was amazing I would definently get it again but I'm not creating an Origin account as I would rather stick with Steam.

I played this a long time ago and it was fun for a very short period of time, don't think I'm going to get it again.

DeluxeHazard Thanks for a free game EA. Everyone really wants a free game from 1994 instead of one made within the last 5 years.

How much do you pay monthly for these free games?
zero?
oh.

Without paying a single cent, I've gotten:
Battlefield 3 - October 25, 2011
Dead Space - October 20, 2008
Peggle - February 27, 2007
Plants vs Zombies - May 5, 2009
Bejeweled 3 - December 7, 2010
Sim City 2000 - December 31, 1993
Dragon Age: Origins - November 3, 2009
The Sims 2, with all the DLC. - September 14, 2004
Wing Commander 3 - March 28, 1996

Regardless of how old or how much each game is, they're losing a lot of money though this.
