Destiny progress will carry over to sequel, Bungie says

4.6
Player progress in Destiny will transfer to the sequel, Bungie Community Manager David Dague confirmed to IGN. Bungie has 10 years to fulfill its promises for the Destiny franchise, and it's laying out some of the groundwork now.

"It's been no secret that we have a 10-year plan for the expansion and evolution of this franchise, and it's something that we're always dreaming about," Dague said. He continued, "The idea is that the Guardian you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure. If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they've had a relationship with the same character for a very long time."

Dague didn't go into detail about development of a Destiny sequel. Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, launches on December 9.

Will be pretty hard to create a sequel for a game like this.

Great. I get to pay another $60 on a game that I will completely forget about 4 years from now

Although Im not that high i love destiny so im glad

Well hopefully so... But they should be fixing the bugs first.

bits They should worry about fixing the game more than DLC. Bugs are the main reason I quit playing this.

More like lack of content and things to do is why people quit. The gunplay of the game is nice, but the repetitive nature of quests, lack of variety of items, lack of endgame and lack of multiplayer maps are what generally cause people to quit this game.

i just hope they make it nice still.
