iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users experiencing issues with case discoloration

4.6
It looks like Apple might have more than just 'bendgate' issues with its latest devices, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. After a month, it looks like some users are experiencing issues with discoloration in regards to the plastic antenna bands that are located at the top and bottom of the device.

According to BGR, a couple of readers have chimed in on the site, reporting that their once pristine iPhones are suffering from discoloration on the plastic antenna band areas. The problem seems to occur with users that put their devices into pant pockets. The repeated action, that most likely happens multiple times over the course of a day, causes the dye of the pant to eventually rub off onto the phone.

While there's no word on how to correct this problem once it has occurred, those who have contacted Apple for support have been told to try and remove the stain by carefully scrubbing the area with household cleaning products. Luckily, those that have yet to encounter this issue can most likely just purchase a case to prevent the discoloration from occurring. Judging from the pictures, it looks like the white and gold models will be more susceptible to this issue due to the phones' lighter colored antenna bands.

Yoke I think they really rushed this product out the door.

Guess they did more or less, Apple still managed to sell a lot of units

Half the people who got it just purchased of because it's an apple product.

Ying Wow... i mean just wow... Any phone is likely to bend with the right amount of force... But clearly people are just too dumb to realize

I hope you realize any modern smartphone is liable to bend because of how thin they are.

I have a Nokia with a 6 inch display, which is bigger than iphone! I've had it about 12 months, i have no cover on it, i put it in my pocket all the time. The screen isn't marked or cracked, the plastic casing basically has no marks on it and best of all it shows no sign of bending! P.S. And it cost me like half as much as an iphone!

It's okay!!! Your phone also does at least 70% less than the iPhone 4s LOL

And then there's the rest of us, with Androids. My beautiful Sony Xperia which is bigger, cheaper, and a heck of a lot better than any iPhone and most Androids! An iPhone literally is the mac of phones, over priced, terrible looking and terrible performing but it still has a following. Also like the Call of Duty of phones when you look at it, I mean who buys a phone where you can't even put in a Micro SD card? Or one where the charger is $40 and only for that phone? It's rediculous, I'm surprised at your idiocy

Last time I checked, the Z2 and Z3 are still about $500. Not cheaper than an iPhone. I sell phones on a daily basis, and with a contract iPhones are cheaper. But outright, yes the Xperia is cheaper.

There's always problems with the first new product, it's always the iPhone_S that is much better, guess we're just gonna have to wait for the 6s :s

Pretty much.

What's funny is...doesn't the new product normally sell faster than the S product?
So far, we've had Speed (3GS), Siri (4S), and Security (5S), what's the S going to be next year?

I predict that it's going to be the iPhone 6(S)upercomputer. We are all going to have mini-supercomputers in our pockets.

The stockholders are dumb af and want to make the maximum amount of profit possible by selling the cheapest product possible. Pretty simple explanation.

I'm gonna wait until the next iPhone and get the day1 version. :)
