Windows 10 will be rolling out mid-2015, Preview: download tomorrow

4.7
Microsoft announced today that its new OS will be called Windows 10 - and not Windows 9, as had been widely expected. The company also unveiled its new Windows Insider Program, and confirmed that the new OS will be available for early adopters and its "most enthusiastic" users to download tomorrow.

But when will the OS actually begin rolling out to customers? Microsoft isn't yet committing to a firm date, but has said that it plans to release the full version of Windows 10 around the middle of next year.

While today's announcement - and the Technical Preview - are focused on enterprise features, the company will elaborate further on consumer-focused features "early next year", and will share more on the future of its Universal apps - particularly important given that there will soon be just one unified Windows app store - at its BUILD conference in April.

Looks like quite a good improvement. A mix of W7 & W8 with added features. Will stop people bitching about W8.
