FIFA 15 demo played by 5.5 million

4.6
More than 5.5 million people have played the FIFA 15 demo, according to Electronic Arts, the biggest install base yet for an EA Sports demo.

The FIFA 15 demo launched earlier in September and lets users play as Liverpool, Barcelona, Chelsea, PSG, Dortmund, Napoli, Man City and Boca Juniors. It also offers a chance to try out the Ultimate Team mode with a selection of pre-made squads.

FIFA 15 released in North America on Tuesday. It will hit Europe on Thursday and the UK on Friday. It's available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC, 3DS and Vita.

A free-to-play mobile version of FIFA 15 lets players build their own Ultimate Teams and face them off against opponents. It also presents four real-life matches every week for players to see if they can alter modern football history.

In CVG's FIFA 15 review, we noted that EA "evolved its engine rather than revolutionised it" to create "the best game of football around".

The demo was fantastic. I loved every bit of moment. I can't wait to get the actual game.

That's a LOT, my god. FIFA is so darn popular, so many people play it. Awesome, just awesome.

5.5 Million people, damn, that is a lot of people! I actually played early access and enjoyed it, not so much the demo though, can't wait to play it tomorrow!

Dezz That is a very large amount of people...

Indeed. Bet you at least 10% thought this FIFA was going to be bad just because of the demo too. The demo is bad but the early access is sick.
