Destiny sales reach $325 million worldwide

4.5
Activision has pegged sales of Destiny at $325 million worldwide in its first five days, which follows last week's announcement that the MMO-shooter dungeon crawler shipped over $500 million into retail. We don't have time to explain how Activision has time to explain where it got those numbers.

"Destiny is a platform that will grow and evolve and we will continue to work closely with our partners at Bungie to bring a long line of new experiences and content to life in the game," said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. The company spoke to Joystiq yesterday about changes coming to the game, saying it has already "more than doubled" the number of public events players will encounter.

That's crazy, game is pretty good also. I'm sure they're gonna make more money then this if this is just the first 5 days!

Xbox_One Am I the only person who thinks this game has no edge to it? Its like its another halo just open worlded

Wouldnt really say Halo was open world. The game is great, but I find like theres no real plot to it. But maybe thats just because I've played it for 6 hours.

CHP good amount of sales, but i dont think it will go up alot more since people are starting to get boreed of the game

Lol. People who never play MMO's get bored.
Half the people who bought Destiny most likely played it because the cover had "Bungie" and "Activision"
Just like COD, a very well known title to upcoming crap games.
Take Ghosts.

Destiny at least has a better and cooperative community than Halo, COD, and BF.
COD -> No betas, which means no actual say over if multiplayer will actually be "playable"
> Also has a fanbase of immature ignorant and uneducated 12 year olds who run around with snipers and "Quickscope"
BF -> Fun to play at first, gets boring after a while, friends tend to help gameplay better. >Ranking up takes forever (A good thing though)
Halo -> T-bagging is just showing how bad you are and how lucky you got the kill, when you actually suck.

Destiny?-> Open world, very fun but can be repetitive after long hours spent on it.
>Luckily will have events and other fun things added over time like every other MMO.

Vladimer Game is not playable unless you have a team. Which the game is dead on 360 so can`t do that.

how is it dead on the 360? please explain.

And how is it unplayable without a team? You must just be bad at the game. I'm level 21, and I play by myself all the time. Sure its challenging, but I think its extremely fun also.

Everygame with Co Op feels like you need a Team, but you CAN solo any part of it.
