GTA5's radio station getting with the times on PC, PS4, Xbox One

4.5
A scenic route through Grand Theft Auto 5's Los Santos will open up on PS4, Xbox One and PC this fall, but we might not be stuck blasting the same old programs from our totally-legally-acquired rides.

Cara Delevingne recently tweeted that she was "with @rockstargames to update my GTA[5] radio station Non Stop Pop FM" for this fall's ports, with Non Stop Pop being an adult contemporary station on GTA5's dial. Rockstar hasn't announced plans regarding radio content for the ports, so it's unclear whether we can hope for radio hosts other than Delevingne to swing by and freshen up their shows as well.

We're still waiting on a specific date for our returning trip to the San Andreas area, but in the mean time you can compare trailers from the original release and the upcoming port. Or you could join us at shaking our heads over Lindsey Lohan's latest leading role in ... a lawsuit with Rockstar.

vWatsonc That would be awesome if they added more stuff on the xbox 360/PS3 versions because the stuff on the radio is already getting old !

I am just turned the radio off.. they play crap music anyways.

Maleovent Just uplink them to actual radio stations -.-

That is not a bad idea at all, however it would be difficult to do for the company

This is what I was thinking....if they can do it then it makes the game a little more enjoyable and adds a sense of difference to the game but I think they would find it hard to implement but hat do I know haha

It wouldn't be that hard to do from a development point, the problem comes with the royalties and the legal efforts to do it. However, I haven't really played gta 5 but the other gta's song are still good after so many years. They do a really good choice in picking the songs.

That's what I meant, overall it would be hard for them to do this and some of the songs are good on GTA but there is only a few that I like :) would be nice if they added some more though

You want to listen to your own music while playing GTA on Xbox or PS3 just download the app "sync:stream" from the app store. As long as you keep it open you can play music from your phone to your Xbox/Playstation and not have to listen to the boring old radio stations. But on topic, I hope some new songs come to the radio stations and preferably the Rap ones. I've listened to those too many times over now lmao

Gta 5 songs are awesome, live radio would be cool but the legal side of things could be a very big issue.

Wow, I didn't actually think they were going to update the radios.

Glad to hear this!

I was really hoping they would update the songs every couple of months, even on Xbox 360 and PS3. It gets really annoying listening to the same songs over and over.
