Evolve video shows climactic hunter-monster battle

2K Games has uploaded the commentated footage of an Evolve match's climactic moments, the same video having debuted at Microsoft's Gamescom stage show Tuesday.

The video starts off with the Kraken monster preparing its final evolution and the team of four hunters gathering to take down the fully powered beast.

The hunter crew represents a mix of new and (relatively) old characters: though the team must have one assault, hunter, trapper and support each, players can choose between multiple characters that fulfill each of those roles.

The video also offers a look at the wintry Distillery map, marked by open fields, canyons, and industrial equipment.

Blending cooperative and competitive multiplayer experiences as a team of four hunters face off against a single, player-controlled monster on an alien planet in the distant future, Evolve is the latest game from Turtle Rock Studios, the co-creators of Left 4 Dead.

Bethesda and Microsoft revealed Tuesday that an Evolve beta will come exclusively to Xbox One in January. The Xbox One version of the game will also be the first to receive 'premium downloadable content'.

While the game was originally due to hit shops on October 21, the Evolve release date is now February 10, 2015.

That looks pretty good honestly, fun and graphics wise. If only it was on Xbox 360.
