Microsoft Working on Another Halo Game

4.5
With Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you’d think there’s enough Halo in the pipeline (who am I kidding? there’s never enough Halo), but apparently that’s not the case, as revealed by a new career opportunity ad published by Microsoft for 343 Industries.

The ad seeks a Publishing Senior Producer that will take care of a “new project line” within the Halo universe, meaning that we might actually see more than one game coming from this. It also mentions working with a development partner and and internal and external teams, indicating that the project is probably going to be executed in collaboration with one or more external developers, even if we don’t know if they’ll be first or third party studios.

Of course the producer will be tasked with ensuring that “the game hits the quality expected of a title within the Halo Franchise,” but there’s no precise indication of the scope of the project. Considering that the ad is talking about a new project line, it’s probably something rather relevant, but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement in order to know more.

Honestly, Halo wars was good because it was an RTS optimized for consoles. RTS games generally don't play well except for on PC (check the command and conquer games that came to 360, they suck horribly). And while yes Halo Wars was somewhat underrated, it was also a fairly simple rock-paper-scissors mechanic, eventually leading to uber units like hawks or grizzles. Most online matches ended in less than 10 minutes because all you have to do is out build and hope you have the unit with the advantage (i.e. you're building hawks, they build wolverines, you quit because it's too late in the game to change units and counter their assault.). I've truly only experienced several battles (out of at least 500) where there's been enough time from each team to regroup, rearm, rebuild, and change strategies.

That's completely untrue, if you're making hawks and they make wolverines you can easily kill them using a cryo bomb to freeze their units, same with all units, plus the majority of people play 3v3 where your teammates will counter the wolverines, me and my friends have spent countless hours playing the game on 3v3 there's not a single unit that can beat all others in the game, and had the majority of games stretching towards the hour mark.

plus you said about the fact you have to hope to have the units in advantage when you can easily use a scout vehicle and basic knowledge of the characters to know what units will be produced by your opponents
