Star Fox flies in formation on Wii U

Shigeru Miyamoto returns to starships and animal people for a new Wii U entry in Nintendo's classic shooter series. Three levels were on hand in a small pre-E3 event hosted by Miyamoto himself, two in small arena style stages similar to those in Star Fox Command and a third showing off the game's new helicopter vehicle.

While these levels demonstrated how classic Star Fox combat has been adapted for the unique two-screen set up offered by Wii U and its tablet controller, they're far from representative of the full version of the game Nintendo plans to release in 2015. Even as a prototype, though, Star Fox demonstrates great potential.

The Starfox on the gamecube was honestly my favorite. So may good memories

Xsplay I hope Nintendo can sell more of its consoles

With the new SSB game coming out, Mario Kart doing pretty good in sales and a few other games that are coming out, I'm sure there are going to be people buying the Wii U to try them out, I know I'm one of them because I truly want to play the new SSB, want to play the Wind Waker again in the HD remake they did and possibly try out a few other games as well, so once SSB is out, I am buying a Wii U.

This actually seems like a GOOD use for a Wii U. I love Star Fox. Might have to give this a look.

The whole two screen thing really makes a difference, in these types of games. It's really good to see Nintendo develop some new games for their console, it really gets people into that console. I really hope to see some gameplay from that event earlier today.
