The video below also features insight from developers at DICE, who discuss improvements to traversal and combat in the upcoming sequel, which promises "more varied gameplay" than 2009's original.
The game was officially announced at E3 2013 , when EA Studios executive vice president Patrick Söderlund told CVG: "What I can say is we're taking more of an action adventure approach on it than maybe before. First-person, running predominantly - this will be more of an action adventure game, but true to what the first one was to a large extent."
EA has also indicated that the sequel will feature an open world. The title is in development using DICE's Frostbite engine and will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC "when it's ready".
