Assassin's Creed Unity DLC reportedly outed by retailer

Retailer promotional material has reportedly outed the first Assassin's Creed Unity DLC.

The image below, via Access the Animus, suggests select retailers will be offering a pre-order bonus mission called Chemical Revolution.

The chemical revolution was centred on the work of French chemist Antoine Lavoisier, who has been dubbed the 'father of modern chemistry'.

Unity was officially announced on March 22 following the appearance of leaked promotional material.

A collaborative effort between ten Ubisoft studios, the next entry in the historical open-world series will take players to the French Revolution later this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The game has been rumoured to feature a new four-player "narrative" co-op mode, separate from competitive multiplayer.

Assassin's Creed will also appear in some form on PS3 and Xbox 360 this year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in May.

His comments lined up with rumours of Assassin's Creed Comet. The PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 title reportedly serves as a more direct sequel to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, letting players sail the Atlantic coast of North America and encounter characters from past series entries.

Ubisoft will host its annual E3 media briefing on June 9, from 3pm PT (11pm UK),

So let me get this straight. The game isn't even out yet, but they are already showing off the first DLC for the game.

Thinking of ways to make even more money already.

Developers need to stop with this DLC schedule.

If I were releasing a game, no DLC would be released at launch.

Here is how I would do it:

My game comes out November 1st, 2014.

Let those who purchase the game, play the majority of it for about 3 months.

1st DLC would release February 1st, 2015.
DLC will be a real continuation of the game (not some 3 hour piece) that would contain around 10 hours of gameplay, and cost $20.

2nd DLC would release May 1st, 2015.
DLC will be a continuation of the previous DLC and add more features and mechanics to gameplay, and would cost $10.

3rd DLC would release August 1st, 2015.
DLC would add more features (to keep the game feeling fresh) and would conclude the story for the game for good. Price would be $15 or $20.

4th DLC would release November 1st, 2015.
DLC would contain a Prequel to the next game (that would release November 1st 2016)with about 5 hours of gameplay and would give players exclusive content for the next game.
Price would be $20.

That is the way I think DLCs should be made.

So the game already has DLC? Or, is Unity a DLC? Either way, I hope it's good, as I enjoyed AC IV!

MissPosted:

So is it a game or just DLC? I'm kind of confused.

-Cookie-Posted:

I hope the dlc is decent as I rarely purchase any dlc for AC.

Kixa I totally forgot there making another AC, but it looks like we have awhile till it comes out.

It'll be out in October. It's on a year basis now.
