3DS system update adding new parental controls

4.5
While 3DS system update 7.2.0-17 allows parents to better control the time children spend on the Nintendo device it appears the update also improved overall stability in hopes of enhancing the user experience. A full, albeit rather short, update briefing can be found below as given by Nintendo.

New Parental Controls feature

You can now register an email address to which a master key can be sent. If you forget your PIN and the answer to your secret question at a later point, a master key to reset your PIN can be sent to the email address you have registered. Please make sure to use an email address that only parents or guardians can access, to prevent children from seeing the master key that is sent.
System stability improvements and other adjustments

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user's experience.Nintendo

Maggardo Parental controls are really stupid, imo. Nobody that I know, uses parental controls.

No other children do. But some parents like the feature of parental control on their children's devices.
