Xbox One without Kinect coming June 9

Microsoft has announced that it will release a new lineup of Xbox One consoles that do not include the Kinect motion-sensing peripheral.

Starting June 9, Microsoft will offer Kinect-less Xbox One hardware bundles at $399 in North America and £349 in the UK. Microsoft cites customer feedback as the driving force behind the Xbox One's new hardware options.

The Kinect was bundled with every Xbox One sold since the console's launch last year. A standalone Xbox One Kinect sensor will be released at retail this fall.

I never liked the Kinect anyways, and never used it. I'm in need of getting a Xbox One soon so I would end up getting it without.

Still getting a PS4, but maybe this will come in handy if Sunset Overdrive turns out to be GDLK.

Honestly the kinect was really nice and I'm glad it came with it. Voice commands are sooo much better than on the 360.

Maggardo Finally! The should've had an option, with an Xbox One, and no kinect, since the very beginning.

Maybe by them doing so, they wanted to throw in the kinect to show how they ``improved`` the kinect. Personally i don`t think that it was necessary for them to even bother to put it as a bundle, but the did. The should of just kept it simple in the first place and made it 399.99.

Wasn't that excited for the Kinect but it was so much better than I thought, definitely worth $500, not even that much either.

AE86 Well... now i might actually buy one

Same, $500 was way too steep for it.

Still debating on whether to get that or the PS4 though.
