The Elder Scrolls Online delayed by half a year on next gen

3.8
Bethesda confirmed today it has delayed both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 iterations of their recent PC MMO "The Elder Scrolls Online" due to the "challenging process" of addressing the number of issues relevant to an MMO of this caliber being released on consoles. In a apparent stop gap to halt fan rage Bethesda has also announced a special offer for those who already own a PC or Mac copy of ESO, the offer will enable those individuals to claim a digital version of the title on either the Xbox or PS4 for $20 USD.

We continue to work on the console versions of ESO, and game development has been progressing steadily but we are still working to solve a series of unique problems specific to those platforms. Integrating our systems with each console manufacturer's networks -- which are both different from the PC/Mac system as well as different from each other-has been a challenging process. It has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn't going to be possible. Though we have made great progress, we have concluded that we'll need about six months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve.Bethesda

Hollywood_Undead Good. This game is trash.
I hope it never comes out to ruin good consoles.

Its actually a really good game you have probably never even tried it, so stop calling it trash unless you play it.

Hopefully this gives them time to make it better on the up-side.

Bethesda do indeed make some of the best games you can buy but i really hope the p2p model crashes and burns so them- and know1 else does it again on consoles. I dont care about whether some pc games do it, or server maintinence. the fact of the matter is i already pay for xbl gold and Eso's subscription works out more expensive. Rubbish. You see if this model proves cost effective other companies will follow and gaming become a whole lot more expensive

this is just like skyrim

Oasis The beta was poor anyway, this model of game was never a thing I wanted anyway. They should of just made another skyrim.

Exactly how i felt. It didn't have the quality feel of other Elder Scrolls games.

Respite i can wait for this game because it gives me time to save up so i can have membership for an year!

You will not have to because by the time it gets to consoles it will be F2P.

I highly doubt it will be F2P mate. They have worked so hard on this.

They worked really hard on Defiance too and its going F2P. Also ESO is not that great to be honest plus its not worth 15 dollars a month and when the sales reflect that they will be forced to go F2P.
