Xbox One YouTube app to allow direct video uploads

4.5
Back in November Google stunned many people when it abruptly announced that it would be releasing an official YouTube application for the Xbox One. Microsoft has revealed that in an upcoming update to the application players will be able to upload gameplay directly to their YouTube channel. Prior to this update players were forced to record game footage from the console's Game DVR function and upload it to their OneDrive account via Upload Studio. From there users would download and upload to a variety of video streaming services, the update removes this series of steps.

Are you excited about this upcoming YouTube functionality?

YAY! This is going to be awesome!

Would you not rather upload it at 1080p from your computer?

Sweet, I was waiting for the ability to be able to do this. Should be useful when people want to upload their videos on the go!

Hearthstone Something tells me that this may just result in YouTube being spammed with a LOT of low quality videos. I will have to wait and see what the quality is like upon uploading a video. For now I will stick to recording with my ElGato and using my desktop to render and edit my videos in 1080p.

elgato in 1080p is only 30 fps that's kinda low quality, id rather stick to 720 60 fps with elgato

YouTube displays in 30 fps regardless, so anyone would take 1080p.

This is actually really nice day if your are filming a quick glitch and want to upload it quickly.

I am glad that they will finally be adding this. It is a hassle to have to go through OneDrive, then download the video on your PC just to upload it to Youtube.

I am sure that this will make a lot of gamers happy.
