Microsoft tech demo shows off power of Xbox One’s cloud

4.5
Titanfall is the first game we’ve seen to use Microsoft’s cloud servers to offload processing in any significant fashion, but this tech demo gives you a better idea of what’s actually going on when developers take advantage of the tech.

Captured from an archived livestream of Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference, the video below shows a tech demo running on PC hardware under ideal conditions. As such, it’s not necessarily representative of what the Xbox One can do – but it does give you an idea of the possibilities.

I like the cloud on the Xbox One. I hope the cloud helps out for the next Games for the consoles.

Sounds good.

Hopefully more things are like this.

The cloud is doing well.. but I think that the rest of the company only cares about more and more money. Not players.

Well the cloud seems to be doing it's job, i feel like it's a very good technology to use in consoles these days.

This looks really good to say the least! I can't wait to see what game developers will do with this in the future!

Nemonium Wow this done on an even bigger scale could mean Gaming consoles could be manufactured for 20 Cents! Because you wouldn't need high end gear... Just something with a gig of ram and a working CPU!

Games now could never work on even exceptional conditions with just 1 gig of RAM.

The xbox one takes $401 to make each console sorry but $401 is much more than 20 cents.

This is awesome! Can't wait to see Dice or someone use this in action. Maybe the next BF, hmmm? Sounds great, anyways... the cloud will be helping a lot in next gen games, and I cant wait to see game devs actually use this.
