New wave of PlayStation Now beta invites sent out

4.4
A fresh wave of PlayStation Now beta invites has reportedly been distributed by Sony.

Multiple sources told IGN that the beta invites appeared up in their email inboxes on Thursday night.

Revealed at CES in January, PS Now will initially stream PS3 games (other platforms to follow) to PlayStation systems, Sony Bravia TVs and, in future, other Sony and non-Sony devices.

A PS Now beta is currently ongoing in the States, where Sony will launch the service this summer. It has been reported that PS Now won't arrive in Europe until the first quarter of 2015.

PS Now will enable customers to rent individual games or pay for full library access via a yet to be confirmed subscription fee. In mid-March, game rental options were spotted on the US PS Store, seemingly confirming that the service will let users stream rented titles for one, seven or 30 days, although the functionality isn't yet enabled.

For a "low latency, high-quality gaming experience", Sony recommended that PS Now users have at least a 5Mbps connection.

Thespian Sony knows exactly what the players want and there doing every thing right

Microsoft is doing a great job to just geared towards people who are willing to pay more.

They really are not doing that great of a job. It also has nothing to do with paying more.

Whether or not they're doing a 'great job' really depends on your own opinion, and it has a little to do with paying more seeing as the base console price is higher.

It's not the fact that most people cant afford it. A lot of people i know just cant justify spending more for a less powerful system.

In my opinion, sony is actually doing really good at this point.

I was a major Xbox fanboy, but that price for a terrible console? (imo) I only got the PS4 mainly for MLB The Show, I wouldn't of been able to get an Xbox and not play baseball on it
