Microsoft promises its E3 conference will focus heavily on games

4.7
The big hullaboo of E3 draws ever nearer and as everyone eagerly awaits another year's worth of announcements for the big event, we're starting to get some idea of Microsoft's presence at the annual expo.

Good ol' Phil Spencer has been chatting on Twitter (as spotted by CVG), and he answered a question directed to him about the conference by confirming that this year's MS showing will be more game focused with "very few execs". Phil also mentions how they already have so much stuff that MS are having to move stuff out of their 90-minute slot during the show.

Phil's also been speaking a little bit more at GDC after his comments earlier in the week about ID@Xbox

On the recent trend in VR headsets in the wake of the Oculus Rift and Sony announcing their own Project Morpheus Eurogamer reports he said:
"One of the things we have is this huge Microsoft research organisation that is important to us as platform holders in helping us think what might came next. That's where Kinect came from, it's where voice recognition came from, it's where Drivatar came from."

"Looking at things like Oculus, Morpheus - they haven't sent me one yet, but maybe they will - when I think about VR and the uses of it in gaming, I think there's a real "there" there"

Do you want to see a VR headset at the Xbox E3 event this year? If not, what else would you like to see? Let us know in the comments.

Enthusiast Hopefully we will see some previews of games coming out at the end of the year. I hope to see some Watch Dogs and Destiny gameplay.

There never was an official release date for watch dogs making everyone think it's at the end of the year when it's not. It comes out in a month on the 27th of May.

To add-on to the last comment:

They need to bring games like Fallout, Skyrim, etc to the new consoles.

Good!
At least they're finally realizing just because they're Xbox, they're number 1.

Playstation put a legitimate effort in their console, and now they're dominating Xbox.

I LOVE IT! :D

Lia Can't wait to see some of the games that will be released.

I haven't really gotten into my Xbox One due to the lack of games.

I agree, Titanfall just isn't enough for right now.

ODST Maybe now I can have a reason to buy a Xbone again rather than selling it with the first week of having it.

If you don't like Titanfall there isn't much to play right now. I would wait until Destiny launches (and hopefully The Division this year)

unfortunately I thnk ubisoft said they will most likely be pushing back Division to 2015 or early 2016 cant remember exactly when because of watch dogs and the new Assassins creed, I cannot wait for destiny and division but im hoping for more games this year

I've already got a PC (decent) and a PS4 so most current-gen games I can play with already but thanks for the responses.

You bought an Xbox One and then sold it within the first week.. what kind of logic is that..?

There really wasn't many differences title wise besides Forza and Ryse, one i suck at and the other just got old after beating it. Most of my friends transitioned to PS4 or PC anyways so there wasn't too much need to keep the console
