NVIDIA ending full driver support for GPU's older than GTX 400

4.4
Today NVIDIA announced that it has decided to drop support for a wide array of legacy cards with the release of latest driver. Cards older than the GTX 400 will simply no longer be supported via regular driver updates. While full driver support for these cards is now gone, limited support and bug fixes will continue to be provided until April 1st 2016. Many of the cards being phased out of regular support include cards up to a decade old, this is definitely a sufficient and lengthy period of regular support.

Do loads of people still use GPU's older than GTX 400? Or is there only a few.

It seems like if you have anything older than the GTX 400, then it must be pretty old. So I understand why they would end the support for them.

Time to upgrade to new parts I suppose.

Potion Not that bad, I mean even if you are still using anything older than 400 series you should probably upgrade.

Not if someone has a GTX 285 or 295, because those still run strong after all this time.

Good to know, just bought a NVIDIA card. Knowing they support their products for so long would have made them my first choice over others.

Oasis Seems fair. Supporting that many products for almost a decade is acceptable.
