Ubisoft lets out Watch Dogs minimum PC specs

4.8
Ubisoft's upcoming title, Watch Dogs, had it's minimum PC specifications posted to Twitter this week from Jonathan Morin, the game's creative director. When questioned on how the PC version would fare graphically to console iterations he said the following: "PC on very high setting is really stunning if you ask me. As for density it also very high of course." The minimum specifications for Watch Dogs can be found below.

Watch Dogs PC minimum specs

Processor: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
Memory: 6GB RAM
Video card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0

Currently Watch Dogs is slated to drop on May 27th for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC but it is definitely possible for more additional delays.

Odin There are definitely not VERY low, but more like average day computer specs. 6GB is quite a bit as 8GB of RAM isn't the norm yet, the GPU isn't really specific so we don't know yet. The CPU is a bit above an average day computer also. I don't see many computers under $700 with 6GB and a quad-core CPU with a decent graphics card. So this may be a hit for people that can't build a computer..

I bet you my 8gb PC will absolutely tear a whole in some idiot's pc with 32gb of ram that he bought 'custom built'.

That ultimately depends on what you are doing, but for games and general purpose it might. But if someone who knows what they are doing and installs 32GB of ram has a reason like video editing and the sort and they would know to get a beast of a CPU/GPU so I highly doubt that your "8GB" pc would 'tear a hole in a 32gb pc.' :) But it all depends on what you are doing, and you may be packing some serious stuff under your hood.. :p

Couldn't be more true. I've had to upgrade mine to a 32gb because of all the editing I do, Photoshop, Maya, and the other assortment of programs I use are really resource heavy; the 16gb of ram just wasn't cutting it in the end. Now, that doesn't mean that some 8gb will tear this monstrosity down. With 32gb of ram with dual 7770's crossfired and overclocked, not much aside from either crossfired overclocked Mid-tier cards or a high end Titan or R9 290x can completely out pace me. Regardless of that, its a rare commodity to hear of someone who has been forced to amp up to 32gbs of memory, and not be some prissy rich white kid who just wants "The most ram he can get" while not paying attention to anything else in his rig.

Potion Good thing g I upgraded to 16GBs of ram not to long ago. But hopefully watch_dogs can be better than GTA 5

Yeah i have seen some trailers and gameplays and IMO i think its better than GTA V.

-CP Good thing I'm more than set in the RAM department :D

I have a custom build tower that is hooked up to my monitor and these specs are nothing.

These specs are something, I only have 8GB RAM and hopefully I can run everything on max

These are very low end specs.
