Watch Dogs closed beta spotted on Xbox One

3.8
Multiple Reddit users have spotted and captured photos of a Watch Dogs closed beta on Xbox One.

Weighing in at 23.07GB on the Xbox One Game Store, the Watch Dogs beta was unavailable to download at the time of its discovery. A listing for the beta was also spotted on Xbox One's video Upload Studio.

It's unclear if the trial is for internal testing purposes only, or whether Ubisoft intends to open up the game to members of the public ahead of its official release.

Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin recently confirmed that the game will support multiplayer open world free roaming for up to eight players.

Lead game designer Danny Belanger also revealed that the game will include a number of systems designed to combat online griefing.

In early March, Ubisoft confirmed a Watch Dogs release date of May 27 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with the Wii U version set to "release at a later date".

The highly anticipated open-world game was originally scheduled for release in November, but it was delayed due to quality concerns.

Kopa i cant wait for this game going to get it right away

I am going to get it, but not right away.

Exactly. Considering the previous quality issues and the amount of name changes this game went through, it's definitely smarter to wait.

ummm? what previous quality and name changes?

Well to start with, the games engine was originally developed for a driving game (believed to be a Driver game) but that was scrapped and the engine was taken and modified to play Watch Dogs on. As for quality issues, it's been a question for a while now as to why the recent gameplay looks half as good as it did pre/post E3. I think it had another name as well but I can't remember everything as it was a while ago.

Exactly why I am waiting to get the game as well, it looks like a good game, but I think it going to have problems.

I wonder if anyone has been able to download it yet.

I think that its good that these games are doing beta's before they come out. Just look at how terribly GTA did without a beta.

It just sucks, because I don't have an xbox one yet :(

I hope there is a demo/beta for the game it would be amazing.

I like playing betas of games just to test some of the qualities and features of the game just like anyone else. I take out the bugs in games (the ones not really extremely major, and also thinking about them being removed in the full release) and decide if I want to fully purchase the game or not. Interesting in playing the beta either way when it will ever be possible.
