Apple rolls out iOS 7.1 for iPhone and iPad

4.4
Today Apple released iOS 7.1, the software was made available for download a week shy of six months after iOS 7 itself. This latest software revision is compliant with iPhone 4 and up, iPad 2 and up, and iPod Touch 5th generation and up. iOS device users with compatible devices should now be able to head over to "Software Update" in their general settings area of their phone and start a over-the-air update.

CarPlay: formerly known as iOS in the Car, which supports iPhone calling, music, maps, and messaging. It also allows users to control certain functions through iOS' in-built voice-activated assistance Siri;

Siri improvements: Including natural-sounding voices for U.K. English, Australian English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. You can also use it in push-to-talk mode by holding the Home button for the duration of your query;

Calendar changes: The list view has returned in month view, and the update has also included country-specific holidays added for many locales;

iTunes Radio updates: The radio feature, first introduced in iOS 7, has been updated with new features, including the ability to buy albums over-the-air from "Now Playing";

Accessibility additions: The "parallax" motion feature option now includes Weather, Messages, and multi-tasking user interface animations. New options have been added to allow users to display a darker keyboard;

Camera settings bolstered: Including a setting that allows users to automatically enable HDR mode for iPhone 5s users;

Touch ID improved: The software that controls the biometric reader has been improved to make fingerprint recognition better.ZDNET

Olaf I would upgrade to 7.1 but I forgot I have an Android.

LOL, brilliant comment.

People still think ios is gods gift.

Android is not the best either, but it is better than IOS.

So what's better than Android then? Windows phone os? LOL

Nothing is better than nothing, they are just operating systems, nothing more they all have their pros and cons and that is what makes them "TECHNOLOGY."

Nope. Android is far more superior to iOS in almost every way. More variety, customization, Larger sizes (variety of sizes..), Accessing the file system without root or jailbreaking.., expansion slots, and a real usb slot, the ability to run apps in multi-windowed mode, do I need to continue?

I agree Android is better than apple I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, I got it for Christmas.

Its all down to personal preference, I just don't like the way Android is, i have tried it. Nothing is better than the other, stop saying its like a fact, because they both have pros and cons and people who like both.

If you read the whole conversation would know I said exactly what you did except I like Android better than most.

It is a fact, but not all like Android. iOS is strict. Freedom is nice.

Glad they made the fingerprint thing better. Was getting annoyed that i couldn't get into my friends phone. It kept on not recognizing my fingers.

And of course it is currently un-jail breakable which mostly hinders the whole use of my 5s sucks that I can't update touch-id does need serious improvements.I just don't get why Apple wants to keep their professional appearance they should just team up with saurik and other great and well known tweak and theme developers; it would make the overall experience of an iPhone better they could just eliminate the need for jail breaking and include popular ui elements into updates control center wasn't even apples idea it was a idea from SBsettings and other tweaks. Let me on the development team because I am a hustler I ask questions. ;)

daRealRush I absolutely hate iOS 7. I wish I didn't update to it. I really liked iOS 6 better.

I was the same way. I love the new block contact feature on IOS 7 though.

I despised iOS 6 because it was practically identical to every iOS before it. I got bored of 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Well I think Apple is just lazy too be honest every iPhone lately has been a remake of the older version.
