CoD: Ghosts MP demo drops on Xbox One and 360 this weekend

In a very surprising first for the series, Activision is intending to release a free multiplayer weekend for Call of Duty: Ghosts on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on March 7th. The demo will offer Strikezone,Warhawk, and Prison Break maps across a variety of game modes including Search and Rescue, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. For those wishing to get some co-op Extinction mode in this weekend, Activision has your back by also offering the Point of Contact map for you to try out.

The MP demo will be open to all Xbox Live members, gold or not, this weekend and concludes on Monday March 10th.

How? the people that don't have the game will be able to try it out and decide if they want to buy it or not.

CoD is usually really fun at first and the experience deteriorates over the course of a few months. Take someone who never played Ghosts and doesn't know of it's popularity among gamers. Odds are they'll have fun if they're not getting their rear end handed to them. What happens next? There is a gamer content with the game, and they may purchase an actual copy. That means revenue for Activision.

It's not really a first, World at war had a multiplayer demo/beta for a while, might even still be up.
