DayZ dev team to 'effectively double' according to Dean Hall

4.6
Despite creator Dean Hall being slated to leave the project by years end, the project itself is reported to be doubling it's manpower. They informed players of this news via a new DayZ update which also outlined studio plas regarding Update 0.37 dropping on March 5th.

We are inducting a large number of new people to the team, effectively doubling the whole project.Dean Hall

The DayZ news entry went on to detail a number of bug fixes while mentioning work on the upcoming cooking system.

This will be part of a wider push in March to focus on Survival aspects of the game in general. You will turn your cooking device on (fireplace/stove) and then place the items in it.Dean Hall

The blog promised a roadmap roughly outlining the studio's future for the rest of 2014 involving DayZ.

DayZ is still in Early Access via the Steam platform with over a million copies already sold, the DayZ news blog can be found here.

Yop I heard a rumor that this game is coming to consoles.

I hope not, then console people would think they are as good as us when they console version would suck ****. Kappa

Umm nope. The console version probably wouldn't be as user friendly as PC, but it would be still be wildly successful and still really fun.

Think Dean said a while back that if it's successful on PC then he is looking to bring it over to console. It will be so different and can't see it being successful on console as it won't be as good.

Well hopefully when this game does release soon it will be ported over to the Xbox One and PS4.

Hopefully with a bigger team they will be able to release updates more often. I really like DayZ so far from what I have played and can't wait to see it progress over the next few months.
