March's free XBL Gold games revealed

Xbox 360 owners during the month of March will be able to grab both Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution and Dungeon Defenders for free through the Xbox Live's Games with Gold promotion.

Gold members can snag the console-specific turn-based strategy game released in 2008, Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution, between now and the 15th. The title is normally $29.99 to purchase off the Xbox Live Marketplace. Starting on the 16th through the end of the month gold members will be able to grab Dungeon Defenders through the same promotion. This title was first released in 2011 by Trendy Entertainment, a sequel is currently in development. Dungeon Defenders is normally priced at $14.99 for sale on Xbox Live.

While Gold members on the Xbox 360 have been enjoying two free games a month for sometime now, Xbox One users have yet to receive anymore news when they get some love. A few months back Microsoft released that Xbox One gamers would be getting the Games with Gold promotion "sometime later in 2014, no more relevant information has been released since then.

PSN users seem to be getting the better deal when it comes to free games. I doubt I will download these games.

Miss Just downloaded Civilization, hopefully its good! Never even heard of Dungeon so I'm definitely going to get that as well.


Civilization revolution is a great game if you like turn based games. The only tip I would give to new players is start on easy, learn the ropes, because the game can quickly turn against you.


I never liked civilization revolution. I played it after playing Civilization 4 and thought of Revolution as just a cheap console port. Civilization 5 with both expansion packs is one of my favorite games ever. But don't expect that on xbox live because its only on PC.

Still wishing the Xbox One users wouldn't get screwed once again. Still feel like I shouldn't have to pay $60 a year to play games with my friends.

pretty old games compared to what psn are getting :/ ... my gold runs out this month and i will not be renewing it so better make the most of it i can i guess
