Xbox One price-cut not coming to other territories, says Eagle

Xbox One is getting its first official price-cut in the UK on February 28, and Xbox UK Marketing Director Harvey Eagle has confirmed that the deal isn’t coming to other territories at this time.

We’ve got Microsoft’s official £399.99 Titanfall Xbox One bundle details through the link. Hit it y’all.

Explaining the deal to OXM, Eagle began, “My responsibility is only for the UK so I can only talk about our territory. This is about offering the best value to UK gamers, and as a result we’re announcing this new price point of £399. There’s no announcements in other countries planned, so it’s a UK-only adjustment and we feel this is the right thing to do in our market.”

He added, “The timing of this is very much around Titanfall,” and continued, “It’s about value rather than price. People buy a console to play the best games, the best games coming this year include Titanfall, and Destiny, and Watch Dogs, and if you want to play all three of those you’re going to need an Xbox One. And as we said in the announcement today from the 14th March customers are also going to get a copy of Titanfall included when they get an Xbox One, we think that’s really good value.”

It was 420-430 when released.


You literally couldn't be more wrong considering the console alone is still 430GBP from Amazon. Also, I think you'll find that that the Day One edition of the XB1 console is still 520GBP from Amazon with Fifa 14 DL.

I think it's nice that Microsoft are doing a bundle of the XB1 with TF for a nice discount but I can only assume it's because there are so many issues with the console atm. I still don't think it's even worth the 400GBP but I suppose it's a nice deal for those looking for an XB1 console.

I might have to see if I can order one for that, because I don't feel like paying a ton extra for one.

Oasis So it's becoming a permanent inclusion then? That's a pretty nice deal even if it will be a digital download.


How do you Digitaly download an xbox one?


Hes talking about the game that comes with it being digitally dowbloaded


I'm not sure if ZE_BLUEZ is the kind of person that forgets to breathe or not. It's not hard, it says it right there in the news post 'Titanfall'. How do I know it's a digital download? I hear you tap tap tap away on your pretzel ridden keyboard.

I used my eyes and looked at the promo picture. 'Ohhh magic!?' I hear you whisper. No child, just common sense.
