Sony to livestream event for PS4 Japanese Launch

The PS4 will land in Japan to consumers on February 22 and Sony is preparing to livestream their own launch at the Sony building in Ginza.

Sony is set to start livesteaming at 10:30PM local Japan time on the 21st.

Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida
Sony Japan Asia president Hiroshi Kawano
Metal Gear Solid 5 director Hideo Kojima
Final Fantasy 15 producer Shinji Hashimoto
Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida
Yakuza series general director Toshiro Nagoshi.

Katsumi I had no idea that the PS4 wasn't released in Japan yet.. i thought that was happening around mid january. I may tune in if i get the time


I thought the same. I thought it was released the same time as in the US.

Definitely going to watch it though.


It was a strange move not launching first in their core market but hey at least Japan doesn't have long to wait.



They probably did it to build up the hype.
