Kickstarter accounts hacked

4.2
Accounts at Kickstarter seemed to have been hacked sometime Wednesday night, they claim no credit card data was accessed. They believe only two accounts had unauthorized activity but it is impossible to tell at this time.

We're incredibly sorry that this happened. We set a very high bar for how we serve our community, and this incident is frustrating and upsetting. We have since improved our security procedures and systems in numerous ways, and we will continue to do so in the weeks and months to come. We are working closely with law enforcement, and we are doing everything in our power to prevent this from happening again.Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler

We here at TheTechGame recommend if you use your Kickstarter password elsewhere to go and change your passwords!

They should of had more security on the website, now a days most websites need high end security to protect their customers so they should work on that.

Meds You know what this mean now for them they will have way more security

I'm not sure what you mean? It doesn't mean they'll tighten up, it means (right now) they'll resolve the problem and the controversy of security will come afterwards.

Skeletons why did they let this happen, they need better security

I agree with you, I think PS3 need to do the same.

ps3 network is free , what do you expect? they're not going to have the best.

That's no excuse, if they hold bank details, they need a high security level, networks like steam and paypal are free but they manage to keep everything hidden from hackers

You act like they actually let it happen, Even the best security in the world is still vulnerable to being hacked.
