Flappy Bird to stop flapping

Dong Nguyen, the developer behind Flappy bird, has threatened to take the popular game down due to his inability to cope with success.

It appears the lone developer cannot handle the success of his game, he claims it has changed his "simple life".

It is estimated that he is making upwards of $50k a day via in-game ads while garnering 50 million downloads from the various platforms. Keith Shepherd, co-founder of the developer behind Temple Run, has reached out in a bid to help the struggling Dong cope. It is unclear at time of posting if he intends to accept the help.

50k a day for such a simple game is unreal haha.........he might aswell carry on with it until it isn't popular anymore.....like the previous apps that have come and gone

Flappy Bird isn't even frustrating, I don't understand how people think it is. Iron Pants is the frustrating game.


I agree. I still don't see why people cant just put their phone down and go take a shower or something?


It's a quick game no matter what. So you just keep playing and playing.

To be honest I am kind of glad...

It led to a lot of frustration, he probably got a lot of flamers.
