Playstation division of Sony reports sales up to $4.2 billion

It has been a good few months for Sony's Playstation division, they are reporting a massive increase to operating profit that is likely linked to the recent PS4 launch.

In the third quarter that division reported a 64 percent increase in sales adding up to a sweet $4.2 billion. Compared to last year their operating income ballooned nearly 300 percent to $172 million.

Sony did not break down individual unit sales but did indicate that between their line of consoles and handhelds they sold almost 10 million unit in their third quarter along with 126 million game software sales to boot.

becuase over 80% goes to paying the high ups. very little goes to helping the middle and lower class. welcome to capitalism.


They don't deserve it for doing basic, mindless jobs. If one wants more money, risks must be taken and work must be done. That is the reason wealthy people are at the top of the "food chain".

This is good to hear for Sony, hopefully it brings them up a bit. And hopefully sales are going up for Sony, as I have been hearing that in the next two years, they have a 70% chance of going bankrupt. And I don't want that to happen to Sony...

They take more risk in their position and generally input some capital. Higher risk equals more money (potential)

America is the definition of capitalism. It keeps the "American Dream" alive. Study, run a business or rank your way up in one and you'll be successful.
