Titanfall beta not limited to pre-order customers

The Titanfall beta will not be distributed based on pre-orders, Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella has announced

Posting on Twitter, Zampella said although he would personally like to offer priority access to pre-order customers for their support, this will not be the case.

However, neither Zampella nor Titanfall publisher have announced how they will allow access to the highly anticipated first-person shooter. Instead, Zampella simply said more details will be revealed "soon".

Waiting for things to be approved before we can announce any more details. Should be soon...


Zampella confirmed a Titanfall beta was coming for Xbox One and PC following a retailer leak and a teaser statement.

No further information on specific dates was revealed. There was also no mention of a beta for the Xbox 360 version of the game.

The Titanfall release date is March 11, according to EA's schedule. The shooter is generally considered as a key asset for Microsoft and its Xbox business. It will ship on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
