Microsoft seeks legal action against Xbox One leaker – report

4.7
Xbox One rumours went crazy this week, thanks to a tipster called ntkrnl. From Forza Horizon 2 and Crackdown 3, to Titanfall-branded consoles and everything between, nothing was off the table, and Microsoft is now seeking legal action.

Here’s a recap of everything ntkrnl leaked:

Halo 2: Anniversary heading to Xbox One on November 11
Crackdown 3 coming 2016
Halo 5 delayed?
Forza Horizon 2 could hit Xbox One in September at 1080p
White Xbox One disc-less console

Kotaku has been digging into the matter and has reported that Microsoft is now seeking legal action to identify and bring in the informant. As the site suggests, this doesn’t mean that any of the above is true, but we’ll update you as we hear more.

Oasis Serves them right. Leaking info like that is just unfair, and if true, can cost companies millions.

Hope they catch the little internet warrior and show them who's boss.

May i ask how they could lose millions?

A rival company could steal ideas, sell for less, and in the process take potential customers away.

Sell for less what? games that are still in development? or what disc-less PS4? cmon to **** use your brain sometimes...

Well first of all, yea a disc-less PS4 could be an idea for them now, who knows. Second, people will now wait to buy an Xbox if they know they could save $100 in 5 months. Making Microsoft lose money. So yea, Millions could be a definite possibility.

I'm glad someone else has a basic grasp on business. Thing is, I know that person that disagrees with me doesn't actually believe his own words, hence the need to swear at me.

They wouldn't be losing money. Mostly because a lot of the things that were listed were MICROSOFT OWNED PRODUCTS. Sony can't take the idea of halo 2 or forza horizons. They can't. It's impossible. The only way Sony can Copy them is the diskless drive thing. Microsoft won't do any sort of legal action. This is just a pub stunt.

They would lose money. If it is sold for $100 people with wait. So how is that not losing money?

By the looks of it, it seems like all of the rumors are true if Microsoft is seeking legal action. I don't really agree with them doing it though.

iOS8 That is stupid. That shouldn't be able to seek legal action because he was excersizing his right to free speech.

That isn't free speech.

Free speech is to say what you want with no consequences as long as it isn't hurting anyone else. Hate speech is not freedom of speech. And leaking company secrets isn't either.

I wouldn't categorize it as a "secret", but I can see why they're upset, lol.

Say that about Snowden then...

It ruins their agenda. Yes, he has the right to freedom of speech, but I mean did he work for Microsoft? If he doesn't, then he got the information from someone most likely...
