Minecraft sales exceed 1 million in first month on PS3

After a month of generating new lands for PS3 users to explore, Minecraft has sold one million copies on the PlayStation Network. Mojang's David Kaplan shared the news on Mojang's blog, proving that there are actually still people on this Earth that have yet to buy the build-what-you-want adventure game.

Kaplan noted that the Mojang team is grateful for the support and hopeful that fans are receptive of future updates. As a sales recap, 11 million units of the PC version were sold by last June, and the Xbox 360 version has creeped out another 10 million players with the unsettling hiss of Creepers. Wii U sales are just a bit lower in comparison, as Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson noted in December that there are "no current plans" to reach the console.

I've always enjoyed console gaming more than PC gaming (up until recently), but a lot of people would agree that it should just be a PC game haha.


I personally think that it makes an excellent PC game yet should also be on consoles for others as well.

PC isn't that great, cheaper to buy an console instead of a overpriced computer.

I agree. It is in fact a master piece on the PC, but for those who are not PC gamers they can still enjoy the game on the console.

Umm.. No. You can build a mid/high tier PC at the price of an Xbox One.

You don't need to get a new computer, it worked on my 15 year old computer with 1GB of ram. It isn't a hard game to run.


Yeah, Minecraft is a relatively low spec game, especially with performance mods installed. The point i was making is that you can make a PC with better specifications than a console, at the same price as a console as long as you know what you're doing when it comes to parts and the rest


the game feels greater and superior on pc nuff said.

i like the game on both console and PC but console never beats PC

alot of this is because you was probably playing minecraft on pc by yourself right?

TeleTuppy minecraft is a good game but it can only keep you occupied for so long on the console version at the min because once you have worked to getting the things you need to kill the ender dragon and when you actually kill the ender dragon it becomes boring and all you can do is build so they need to update it soon to keep people playing......


Yea it does get boring on console. Mods are what keep to PC?Mac Version going..if the console were like the PC/Mac version I would still be playing it right now.
