Titanfall open beta 'possible', says community manager

4.5
Game currently in limited alpha trial period ahead of March release

Respawn Entertainment hasn't ruled out a Titanfall open beta, according to Abbie Heppe, community manager for both the studio and the upcoming game.

Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella said in December that Respawn is considering a Titanfall beta.

The studio is currently running what it has called "a limited technical test" for the game on Xbox One. It is unclear how many users have been invited to this alpha trial.

Publisher EA has confirmed a Titanfall release date of March 11, 2014 in North America and March 13 in Europe. The title will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Officially revealed at E3 in July 2013, Titanfall went on to be named Best of Show at the E3 Game Critics Awards.

I don't see why they shouldn't release an open beta. It helps the game.

Int even though this game doesn't look appealing to me i still might try it out

This is basically an Xbox gamers wet dream, this game is bound to become one of the greatest multiplayer games I think.

LAL It's far from a confirmation, but it does stand to reason that a multiplayer shooter would benefit from the sort of stress testing that open betas are handy for, especially since the alpha was restricted to Xbox One.

Most people that downloaded the alpha test probably aren't even getting the game, as goes with the beta, if they make one of course
