70 Leaked Titanfall screenshots escape 'closed alpha' test

In-game shots show soldier training missions and combat

Unsurprisingly, screenshots of the Titanfall closed alpha test have leaked online.

The shots, shared via AGB, appear to offer a look at the game's extensive player tutorial missions, called 'Pilot Training Modules'.

They show plain hallways where new gameplay mechanics are introduced, seemingly before players are thrown into more lifelike environments for combat training. Screenshots of a button layout screen suggest these shots are taken from the Xbox One version of the game.

Developer Respawn Entertainment kicked off a closed 'technical test' this week, sending invites out to only a select few players.

Revealing no specifics on the trial itself, the studio told eager fans that participants would not be allowed to report on the game or share media from it, although under these circumstances widespread leaks are typically inevitable.

It is unclear how many users have been let into the alpha trial, but it is widely suggested that invites are being sent at random to Battlefield 4 players with a registered Origin account.

The Titanfall release date is March 11, according to EA's schedule. The highly anticipated Respawn Entertainment shooter is generally considered as a key asset for Microsoft and its Xbox business. It will ship on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

That's what a lot of people are looking at it as, Halo. There are similarities, but a lot of differences.
