Next rally sim looks set to appear in 2014

Codemasters appears set to release its next rally sim, expectedly titled Dirt 4, in 2014 following several hints via social media.

The studio has been teasing fans with hints of an impending announcement this year, along with a screenshot that would appear to be of a new Dirt game.

The studio said recently via a Facebook post, "We have a feeling you'll all quite like 2014," attached with the image in the above gallery.

The developer posted the second image above (hit the right arrow to view), a recently-released press shot of the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI (thanks collyboy), via its official Dirt Twitter feed on Thursday, with the accompanying text; "Spoiler!"

"Let's hope you announce Dirt 4 in 2014", said one fan to the Dirt Twitter feed. "Fingers crossed", replied the firm in a retweet, with a 'winking' emoticon.

The critically acclaimed Dirt 3 was released in May 2011, followed a year later by spin-off entry Dirt Showdown, both for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
