'Minecraft' creator says no plans for a Wii U version

Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson addressed recent rumors Friday that a Wii U version of the popular open-world sandbox game was in the works. While he did put the kibosh on the rumor, he did leave a glimmer of hope for owners of the Nintendo console.

"I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft," Persson stated on Twitter account.

"I agree a Wii U version would make sense, [by the way]," the Mojang co-founder continued. "The only reason for no current plans is we've got too much work already. I

Even if Minecraft was to come to the Wii U, it wouldn't sell much. Not that many people have a Wii U. So, I don't think many people will be disappointed.

What i'm saying, is that the fact that the game is released on so many other platforms its really crazy, the controls would be crazy hard to use, and I'm pretty sure only 1/8 of the players who play minecraft on other platforms would even think twice about buying it. Argument over.

Thats invalid, the Xbox/PS3 MC controls are easy, hey, theres even a Version on iOS...
Why not the WiiU?


Do you know how many people have an iOS device? lol. A lot. I don't think that its that bad. The Wii U would be very interesting however. I can see it looking a lot like the ios though
