'Minecraft' creator says no plans for a Wii U version

Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson addressed recent rumors Friday that a Wii U version of the popular open-world sandbox game was in the works. While he did put the kibosh on the rumor, he did leave a glimmer of hope for owners of the Nintendo console.

"I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft," Persson stated on Twitter account.

"I agree a Wii U version would make sense, [by the way]," the Mojang co-founder continued. "The only reason for no current plans is we've got too much work already. I

Smurfs I don't think it would be worth making it for Wii U since not enough people play it, at least I don't think so.

Tbh, loads of children have Wii U and Minecraft needs to open up it's audience to younger children because it will help them at becoming more creative in their lives... Just a thought.

Hmmm, they could I guess.... But personally. I don't enjoy minecraft much anymore. But kids might like it for the Wii U to play.


I love minecraft and I think they should have made it on the wii u.


It would probably have a much bigger community if this was on the Wii U i think.

It would, but then again it would be REALLY hard to play on.


Well i dunno, WiiU's can't be that hard to play on otherwise people wouldn't buy it...


Well yes and no. If you're on PC and then trying to play on a Wii U when you never have played it before, it's going to be difficult until you get used to. However if you have played a Wii/Wii U before and are familiar with it, shouldn't take very long for you to get used to it.
