Battlefield 4 targeted in class action lawsuit

4.7
Law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP has filed a class action lawsuit against Electronic Arts alleging that the company issued "materially false and misleading statements" regarding the quality and playability of its troubled first-person shooter Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 has seen numerous patches in the weeks following its release, addressing major issues ranging from client crashes to save file corruption. The suit highlights the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 4 in particular, claiming that "players of Electronic Arts' games were being subjected to multiple glitches and significant crashes when attempting to play Electronic Arts' titles on PS4."

The Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd suit marks the second time a law firm has targeted Electronic Arts over Battlefield 4 this month. Previously, Holzer Holzer & Fistel, LLC launched an investigation to determine whether EA misled investors regarding Battlefield 4's projected impact on company revenue. The results of this investigation have not yet been disclosed.

Individuals who purchased EA common stock between July 24 and December 4, 2013, have until February 15 to contact Robbins Geller for representation in the firm's class action lawsuit.

Yop I doubt Battle Field 4 will lose in a lawsuit, but anything could happen.

I think it could since this is regarding the stock of the company, this is a higher up problem in my opinion.

adio6652 Why not go after Rockstar? that game was barely playable for weeks. and there are still problems, and there are still no heists like they hyped them up.

My point. Atleast BF is actually playable.

Rockstar still hasn't added heists which were advertised to be in the online, my friends character is actually still broken and lost. It won't even let him make a new one.

BirdPoo This just pathetic to be honest.

its only because of consumer rights they are doing it, EA pushed dice to release Battlefield 4, so dice did and the game wasnt even complete.

It isnt pathetic at all its going to teach EA a lesson so they dont do it over again

slayerz43 This is complete sh*t EA and Dice have been working their as**s off to get the game back up to speed. They cannot sue for this Dice has already compensated us with the ENTIRE week of 2x XP. Also Dice has stopped all development of DLC packs until all issues are fixed. Dice did not over advertise as these ***holes are stating. Two people against a multi-million dollar company? Yeah, no go back to bed.

You do know that it is a law firm that is suing EA, not two people. And with the double xp, that was only for a short time and they still have glitches. Plus what about the people that got the game midway or after the double xp week. Everyone is dealing with the glitches that you would not expect to deal with so much.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. When the online came out, you couldn't even get on the servers for like 5 days, let alone be able to play it smoothly. Characters were getting lost here and there, and it was awful.
