Xbox One Verizon FiOS TV app now available

4.5
Xbox One is now host to the free FiOS TV app. Assuming you’ve both an Xbox Live Gold member and FiOS TV and Internet subscriber, you’ll be able to enjoy up to 74 live channels, with no extra hardware required. I don’t understand cable TV at all, being inherently opposed to paying for anything, so go check out Xbox Wire for more details on this proposition. You can do some sweet screen-in-screen stuff with the Xbox One, so it’s probably pretty cool.

Sounds like a cool free TV app, but I don't have an Xbox One. I will get it, in the future though!

Cokes Oh my gosh, a good 2 people will take advantage of this....Out of all the requirements for this, who would actually have all of them?

A lot of people...Just because you don't doesn't mean that's the same for others.

-Chiefs Require much Microsoft? Its already an expensive machine.

I don't understand what you two are crying about. Yes, you must have Verizon FiOS to use Verizon FiOS on Xbox. How is this any different than any other service? I need to have a Netflix membership if I want to watch Netflix. I can not use the Xfinity app if I am not a Comcast customer. Nor can I use the TWC app unless I am a Time Warner customer. These are separate subscriptions. Xbox/Microsoft has nothing to do with that. They are merely providing an app to allow you to use your existing service on their machine. I have already seen a number of my friends using the Verizon FiOS app. The only other requirements are an internet connection(how the hell would a streaming service work without the internet?) and an Xbox Live Gold membership(who in the hell ran out and bought an Xbox One who does not enjoy the benefits of a Gold membership?) I truly do not understand the whining about "all these requirements" as they are pretty basic. Common sense. What do you feel you are entitled to? Should Microsoft pay for you to have a subscription to Verison FiOS? Hell, while you're at it, see if you can get them to pay for my Time Warner Cable and Netflix accounts, respectively. Personally, I love my Xbox One, but then, I don't feel entitled to a bunch of freebies.
