World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition open beta this weekend

4.5
A worldwide open beta has been initiated for World of Tanks on Xbox 360. Anyone with an Xbox Live account can jump into the beta right now on through this weekend, up until the virtual tanks are directed back to the garage on December 15.

If you don't have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, participating in the beta will net you a seven-day trial period. Those who have already claimed their free seven-day trial can re-up for another seven days as part of this weekend's beta test.

Wargaming.net's World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition was announced back in June at E3. The free-to-play online multiplayer combat game pits players against each other in mid-20th century tanks. World of Tanks will not feature cross-platform play between Xbox 360 and PC, and players will have to register separate accounts in order to play on their platform of choice.

Wish I'm not really too interested in this game, I think it's worth trying though since it's an open beta :)

Well seeming that the game is free you really don't have much to loose. Just give it a try and see if you like it

Honk I have heard lots of good thing about this game. I might try it out when it comes to xbox.

You should be able to access the open beta now. It's likely worth giving it a try if you haven't gotten around to it yet

xPollutionZx has anyone played this if so what's it like

It is a 3rd person shooter with tanks. There are different classes(light tank, medium tank, heavy tank, tank destroyer, artillery). You can purchase new tanks with the credits you earn and upgrade them. It is really fun and takes some skill...but this is all coming from the pc version.

In my opinion this game isn't really good.

I'll go ahead and give this a try. I have played bits and pieces of it on the PC but have never given it a try on Xbox before
