PS4 sold 66% more units than Xbox One last month – Pachter

PlayStation 4 is significantly outselling Xbox One, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said in a recent note to investors.

As reported by MCV, Pachter estimates the PS4 sold 1.25 million units in the US during the month of November, while the Xbox One sold 750,000 – putting the PS4 in front by 66% more unit sales.

Before you sound the victory bell, remember the PS4 launched on November 15, giving it 15 says on sale during the month, while the Xbox One launched on November 22, leaving it just eight days.

Pachter’s estimates, which we’ll know the accuracy of once the November NPD report releases, suggest sales of new consoles have come at a cost to existing hardware. The analyst believes the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360′s hardware sales have fallen 28%, 65% and 44% year-on-year respectively.

Pachter has always been a strong believer in Microsoft but has warned the platform holder must drop the price on the Xbox One or PS4 will “win” this generation.

You have to think of supply also through it's not like either one had thousands of consoles left on shelves. Time will tell and with the hardware being so close I think it will really be about the gaming, entertainment and online features/performance, to me, the Xbox was and is the best console with the most options and highest value.

Lol many more countries, the Xbox one has launched in 13 countries, and maybe a few more later. The ps4 will be available in far more countries. The Ps4 launched first, and has an edge on price. But if your truly looking for a next generation console. It's the xbox one, because they actually changed, unlike the Ps3.5

But you have to account for the fact that North America is Microsofts stingiest area. If they were outsold on their own turf, it's not looking good.
